3. PILOT PLANT ADSORPTION OF GASES
3.1. Main parts of the pilot plant
3.1.1. Distribution box
In the distribution box contains the selected items in the figure 3.2. This is where you will find the main switch. Also has an emergency switch and double switches.
Figure 3.2: Distribution box.
1-Emergency switch.
2-Main switch.
3-Dual bottom compressor.
4-Double pushbutton pump 1 (water).
5-Double pushbutton pump 2 (depression).
In the image can be observed that the distribution box is located on the left side of the device. In it you can see an operating diagram of the pilot plant and what are their connections.
Below we explaining each part of the distribution box:
SWITCH EMERGENCY:
The first switch in which we fix is the switch emergency (1), because if this is actioned the device does not work. The function of this switch is to stop the machine in case of danger, that is simply the cause of action is security. For example, if a person works with the device and the machine is out of control situation, then you can activate the switch and the machine stop. Stops working, so that the potential danger disappears.
MAIN SWITCH:
To start the team we have to make sure it is plugged into the current and then he must give current from the general switch (2) turning it clockwise a quarter turn. Once started the team starts to work.
DUAL BUTTON COMPRESSOR:
Then can explain why used the double switches and what each one. The dual button compressor (3) serves to open the door compressor installed in the rear team, which is protected by a safe. The function of this compressor is to capture the air from atmosphere and compress it in order to introduce it into the device, so you need a filter to separate the particles. The particles of air may be of different sizes and are classified according to size and may have:
- Suspended particles: its size is smaller than 10μm in diameter, and are those that linger longer in the environment in which they are located.
- Sedimentable particles: their diameter is greater than 10μm. The closer the focus we are, more particles are in air and have not linger long in the environment.
What not matters is that particles with a large size falling within the column so that it could collapse. Therefore, its function is compressing the air and make it go into the column.
DOUBLE PUMP PUSHBUTTON 1:
The double push of a pump (4), this button is used to realize testing with water. Otherwise, you should not put it into operation. Its aim is to boost water from tank and make the climb to the top of the column. This water is collected at the bottom of the column and is returned again to the tank.
DOUBLE PUMP PUSHBUTTON 2:
The double pump button 2 (5), this pump is used when the water reached the saturation point of carbon dioxide, therefore we need to use the depression pump. This pump provides a certain pressure inside the tank which will allow us to remove CO2 from the water, so to do variations of reservoir pressure depression.
